Marx’s reprouction schemes as an economic tool
An analysis of the Brazilian economy between 2010 and 2021

This research uses accounting data from a sample of 48 companies listed on B3 and the Ibovespa indicator to elaborate reproduction schemes of the Brazilian economy between 2010 and 2021. The purpose of the translation of accounting data into Marx’s economic theory is to analyze the evolution of the condition of interdepartmental equilibrium and its relationship with the variation in the average rate of profit in the period. One observed an increase in interdepartmental disproportion with a drop in the average rate of profit in the years 2010 to 2015. Between 2016 and 2017, there was a recovery in the average rate of profit with an increase in interdepartmental disproportion. The hypotheses to explain are: 1) the reduction in the constant capital of the companies in the department of production of means of production, 2) the increase in the average rate of surplus value and 3) the advance of deforestation as a way of partially compensating for the increase in the interdepartmental disproportion.
