Caio Prado Júnior, o ‘sentido da colonização’ e seus desdobramentos teóricos

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore the important contribution of Caio Prado Júnior for understanding Brazil, especially regarding his main thesis that runs through all his work - the 'sense of colonization'. The critical and pioneering thought of the author became a historiographical and theoretical framework for the interpretation of Brazil, giving rise to important contributions and developments, which it this work intends to present within the perspective of reflecting on the content of that sense of colonization that permeates the formation and development of Brazil.
