This article discusses the need to promote a radical change in the man / nature relationship and in the appropriation of productivity resulting from industry 4.0, the internet of things and artificial intelligence, in short, the appropriation of productivity derived from the new uses of microelectronic technology. These changes presuppose a rupture with the capitalist mode of production, reaffirming the value of use and placing the well-being of humanity at the center of decisions. The socialization of the productivity of new technologies is the foundation for substantially reducing the working day and starting to build a new social protection that is not founded on work. If these changes do not occur, humanity will increasingly be exposed to unknown pathogens and millions of workers will be permanently excluded from the labor market.
